A new attack on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was launched by Maria Karystianou, President of the Victims’ Association of Tempi, during a speech in Patras. Referring to the prime minister in her address titled “Tempi, Oxygen is Found in the Justice of Our Struggle,” Karystianou discussed developments since the day of the tragedy. She criticized Mitsotakis for his statements about human error and conspiracy theories regarding hydrocarbon explosions. She accused him of flip-flopping between claims of illegal cargo and denying such allegations shortly after suspicious videos emerged. “Our children did not burn from silicone oil, Mr. Mitsotakis,” she stated firmly, accusing him of defending a terrible lie. The president further remarked that her daughter was lost unjustly due to negligent officials, directors, and independent authorities who either failed to do their jobs properly or were complicit in illegal activities harming citizens.
