Karditsa: ‘He Got Up and Said “What Are You Doing? Leave Mom Alone”’, Says Woman Assaulted by Ex, Saved by Her Son

A case that took place in Karditsa led to the sentencing of a 50-year-old man to four years in prison without parole. Today (06.04.2025), on the show “Akoma Den Eidis Tipota,” the victim of domestic violence, a mother whose 15-year-old son saved her from her partner, spoke about the incident that had occupied authorities in Karditsa. The woman described what happened that day and the abuse she endured from her partner during their relationship. The events unfolded when the 50-year-old broke into the home where his partner lived with her son. After an argument, he stabbed her multiple times. The boy woke up to the commotion, found his mother lying on the floor, and managed to disarm the attacker. The prosecutor hailed the 15-year-old as a hero for not only saving his mother but also enduring years of trauma at home. Following the case’s resolution, the mother exclusively spoke to “Akoma Den Eidis Tipota.” She recounted how the ex-partner had returned unexpectedly after 15 days in Athens, breaking into their home with a knife. Her son intervened, shouting, ‘What are you doing? Leave mom alone,’ and ultimately disarmed him. The mother expressed her fear for her son’s safety during the ordeal.
