Kamala Harris: I have a semiautomatic Glock and I certainly have shot

She goes to the polls for the forthcoming presidential elections in the United States, with her admitting that she knows how to shoot – literally and not in quotes – as she has her own. Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris revealed yesterday, Monday (07.10.2024), that she has a semi-automatic Glock gun, with which she has “sure” already, but in a shooting range. “I have a Glock long ago,” Harris said in an interview on the CBS network’s ’60 minutes’ show, responding to the reporter asking her if she had a gun. Has he already fired with it? “Of course I have. In a shooting range,” she said laughing and reminding her past in the judiciary as a prosecutor. By mid-September, the vice president had already revealed to Oprah Winfrey that she owned a gun, but without specifying which one, and had assured that she would shoot any intruder who violated her residence. Until recently, Kamala Harris rarely said that she has a weapon, aligned with the democratic camp that is rather in favour of a stronger regulation of the gun. However, given that the election with Donald Trump’s Republican opponent on November 5 is predicted breast-to- chest, he was forced to take a position in a country that numbers more weapons than residents. Trump often accuses his opponent, even in the debate who confronted them on September 10, of wanting to confiscate the weapons of the Americans, even though the right to carry a gun is protected by the Second Amendment to the American Constitution. Kamala Harris rejects these allegations, adding that her fellow candidate Tim Walsh also has a gun.
