In the courtrooms of the former Evelpidon School, the aunt of the seven-year-old child who tragically lost her life was led before the judge. The prosecutor, after reviewing the case documentation, decided to issue an order for a preliminary investigation to determine the circumstances under which the child met her tragic fate. Ultimately, the girl’s aunt was released without charges. The incident occurred around 15:30 on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, when the young girl was playing with her aunt and the ball went onto the balcony. Rushing to retrieve it, the child fell through the broken glass door, sustaining severe abdominal injuries. The sound of shattered glass and the child’s screams alarmed the neighborhood, prompting neighbors to rush out onto their balconies in distress. In a state of panic, the 37-year-old aunt, who is a professional nurse, knelt over the child, pleading with her to respond while trying desperately to stop the bleeding until the ambulance arrived. Emergency medical services fought hard to control the bleeding and performed CPR on the child. Despite their efforts, the little girl passed away at the Children’s Hospital shortly after arrival.
