In a strong reaction to the complaints by the leader of the Party of Freedom, Elpida Konstantopoulou, regarding not receiving the original hard drive and mail folder of the Tempi files distributed from the judiciary to the Parliament, Parliamentary Speaker Kaklamanis accused her of seeking privileged access. ‘She believes she is something different and superior,’ said Kaklamanis. He emphasized that if someone does not trust the President of Parliament, it’s offensive, especially when that person was once a former president. ‘Ms. Konstantopoulou seeks preferential treatment compared to the other 299 MPs,’ he added. Furthermore, Kaklamanis noted that out of the total 38 MPs who accessed the special room where the files are kept since April 30, Ms. Konstantopoulou visited only yesterday with two of her MPs. He also announced plans to amend the Parliament’s rules to include an automatic microphone cut-off for those exceeding their speaking time, citing instances where Ms. Konstantopoulou spoke far longer than allowed during sessions.
