In a heart-wrenching statement, the sister of a 25-year-old woman who tragically lost her life in a severe motorcycle accident on Monday (June 30, 2025), early afternoon in Kaisariani, revealed: ‘We found them unconscious under a truck.’ The young woman was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by her boyfriend, who is currently hospitalized in critical condition.

The collision occurred when the motorcycle the couple was riding struck another scooter and then hit the rear of a parked truck. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. Despite resuscitation efforts, she suffered multiple cardiac arrests, confirming her family’s worst fears.

‘She didn’t make it. They brought her dead to the hospital yesterday, they revived her but she kept having cardiac arrests. We knew from yesterday that she wouldn’t survive,’ said the grieving sister. She added that the injuries were mainly to the head.

The sister explained how she and their father were waiting for the 25-year-old at home, expecting her to arrive with a friend. However, as time passed, the young woman never showed up until the family was notified about the tragic incident. ‘We were waiting for her to come home with my dad. A friend was bringing her over, but she never arrived. Later, someone called me who had seen the accident on the road and informed me,’ she said.

She also mentioned that her sister’s boyfriend lost control of the motorcycle after another scooter suddenly pulled out. ‘I don’t know if they were doing wheelies, but all I know is that he was going a bit too fast,’ she added.

Upon arriving at the scene, both the sister and their father found the young woman and her boyfriend unconscious beneath a stationary truck. Meanwhile, the other motorcyclist involved in the crash, who sustained minor injuries, is reportedly recovering at home. His father, speaking to newsit.gr, claimed that the couple was speeding and not wearing helmets. ‘They were doing wheelies, going very fast, and weren’t wearing helmets,’ he stated.

The tragedy has left two families devastated, with one mourning the loss of a young life while the other grapples with the aftermath of a near-fatal encounter.
