Elon is incredible!” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President Trump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending,” Elon Musk wrote on his social media, X, announcing the controversial ‘divorce.’ Musk also stated, “The DOGE mission will further strengthen over time to become a way of life throughout the government.” The White House representative, Carolyn Levitt, thanked Musk for his work introducing DOGE (the committee’s name for government efficiency) and assured that efforts to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse will continue. Although Musk has resigned from his position, members of the U.S. Cabinet will continue collaborating with the Office of Government Efficiency staff across various federal services to promote ongoing efforts.
