According to the autopsy report released two months after the death of 95-year-old actor Jin Hakman and his wife, he had a history of congestive heart failure and advanced Alzheimer’s disease. As reported by Fox News, citing the Office of the Medical Investigator in New Mexico, the legendary actor suffered from “chronic hypertensive changes” and kidney problems. Documents reveal that Hakman had a “biventricular pacemaker” implanted in April 2019. The autopsy also noted “neuropathological features consistent with Alzheimer’s disease.” Severe atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease was found, along with previous coronary artery bypass grafts and an aortic valve replacement. Microscopic findings indicated advanced-stage Alzheimer’s disease in the brain. Toxicology reports showed acetone traces in his system, likely due to prolonged fasting or ketoacidosis. Both Hakman and his wife, Betsi Arakawa, were found deceased at their home on February 26th in a state of decomposition.
