Italy: End to the mandatory use of a mask for those who are outdoors

The Italian Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, announced that from June 28, the mandatory use of a mask in open spaces will cease to apply.

“We are exceeding the obligation regarding the use of a mask outdoors, throughout the ‘white zone’, but always with respect to the measures indicated by the experts,” the Italian minister stressed.

From June 28, all of Italy will be a “white zone”.

For the time being, however, the use of a protective mask will continue to be mandatory in all indoor areas and in case of overcrowding, even when citizens stand in line in open spaces.
