Israel: It reopens its gates to foreign tourists from September 19

As of September 19, Israel is reopening its gates to small groups of tourists from specific countries, as part of a pilot program to launch tourism, the government of Naftali Bennett said yesterday.

According to the government’s new plan, foreign tourists coming from the “red list” countries, such as Bulgaria, Brazil, Mexico, and Turkey, will not be welcome in the country.

Foreign tourists must have a vaccination certificate for the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine within the last six months or the third dose of the vaccine to be eligible to enter the country.

In addition, tourists must also take a molecular test up to 72 hours before arrival and take a Covid test as soon as they land at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport.
