Israel: Security Cabinet approved truce agreement with Hamas

Israel’s security cabinet today (17.01.2020) approved the agreement with Hamas on a truce in the Gaza Strip and the liberation of hostages, as they broadcast Israeli media. The meeting of the Security Council concluded shortly after 3 p.m. (Greece time) and decided to give the “green light” to the government of Israel to proceed with the implementation of the agreement with Hamas, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, to say that “the proposed agreement helps achieve some of the objectives of the war.”
