The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they intercepted a ballistic missile fired by Houthi rebels from Yemen. This came after reports of loud explosions heard in the skies over Jerusalem. Air raid sirens sounded in the central part of the country, including Jerusalem, several settlements in the occupied West Bank, and some areas in southern Israel following the missile launch by the Houthis. Three minutes earlier, residents had received an urgent alert on their mobile phones warning of an impending missile attack. Since March 18, when Israeli forces resumed attacks against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Houthi rebels have launched 44 ballistic missiles and more than 10 unmanned aircraft against Israel, most of which were intercepted.
