Israel: IDF Claims They Will End Iran’s Nuclear Program in Weeks

in

The Israeli military estimates it will achieve its objectives against Iran’s nuclear program within one to two weeks, according to IDF officials speaking to journalists. Israel launched an operation targeting what it describes as the ‘existential threat’ posed by Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs. So far, the IDF has bombed two uranium enrichment facilities in Natanz and Isfahan, causing significant damage. Additionally, they have killed at least nine key nuclear scientists reportedly working on a bomb and struck numerous other installations supporting Iran’s nuclear program, including offices and command centers. While the IDF denies having targeted the underground nuclear facility at Fordo yet, it remains on their list of targets. Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Fordo is “an issue that will certainly be addressed.” The IDF also reports that approximately 40% of Iran’s ballistic missile launchers—about 200—have been destroyed or neutralized during this operation. This likely explains the limited use of Iranian missiles against Israel over the past few days. Regarding Iran’s military leadership, the IDF claims to have eliminated dozens of commanders, including most of the top brass of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Armed Forces. Military officials say they have killed three times more Iranian commanders than initially anticipated when planning the mission. The operation was planned months ago, with overcoming Iran’s air defense systems being the most challenging aspect. Since then, Israel has established air superiority over western Iran and Tehran.
