Bloody incidents on the fence separating Israel and Gaza

A total of 41 Palestinians were injured yesterday, including a 13-year-old boy who was hit in the head and is in critical condition by Israeli fire as they protested in front of the fence separating Israel from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli soldiers opened fire on a crowd of young protesters throwing Molotov cocktails as they tried to climb the fence, just three months after a ceasefire ended the 11-day war between Israel and Hamas.

The Israeli army has said a policeman was seriously injured in a Gaza fire.

According to the Israeli army, “hundreds of rioters” tried to cross the fence by launching “explosive devices”.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gandz said: “These are very serious events for which there will be an answer.”
