Israel: “Ethical solution for Palestinians to leave Gaza Strip – Achievable settlement reconstruction”

New controversial statements made today (21.10.2024) his far-right Minister of National Security on the reconstruction process in , after the end of the war operations. In particular, Itamar Ben Gveer said that it is possible to rebuild Israel’s settlements in the Gaza Strip, and even encouraged the “immigration” of Palestinians from the enclave, even describing this move as the most “moral solution” to the situation currently prevailing in the region. “ If we want to rebuild the settlements in the Gaza Strip, ” said the ultra-nationalist minister at a Gaza border conference organized by the organization in favour of Nahala settlement encouraging the promotion of the construction of Jewish settlements, as did the ‘Times of Israel’. “ We can (also) do something else, encourage immigration. The truth is that this is the most moral and proper solution, ” he continued. He noted, however, that this “not to be done by force” and that Gaza Strip residents must be informed that Israel “gives them the option” to go to other countries. “The Land of Israel is ours,” he said. It is noted that Ben Gvere is known for his many extreme statements and actions. For example, last week British Prime Minister Kir Starmer said his government is considering imposing sanctions against Ben Gvere and far-right Finance Minister Bezall Smotrich for their revolting statements.
