Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to a ceasefire effective from 4:00 p.m. local time, according to a senior U.S. official. “Hezbollah and Israel have agreed to a cessation of hostilities,” the official said, adding that U.S. and Qatari negotiators reached the agreement with Iranian assistance.
“As far as we know, following today’s earlier exchange of fire, Israel and Hezbollah are now observing a ceasefire,” the official added.
