A candidate for her president’s position will be him , he announced on Friday (10/01). The election for the presidency of the Greek Olympic Committee will take place on 27 January. CORVERSE In detail Isidoros Kouvelos’ statement : On 27 January, according to the Statute of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, elections will be held to promote the new administration of the institution. Having listened to the due diligence, ideas, suggestions and suggestions of executives of a very large majority of sports federations, but also the positions of their newly elected representatives in the UN plenary, I feel, with the corresponding responsibility towards the sports world of our country, that it is time to announce my nomination for the position of President of the Hellenic Olympic Committee. CORVERSE My story in the Olympic movement of Greece begins a long time ago and has been through many challenges, successes and few luckily disappointments. But I have never ceased, in whatever positions I served, to stand beside the problems and pursuits of each sport, and to support the “want” and “can” of sports federations and their athletes. In the four four four-year terms of the outgoing President of Spiros Capralos, we cannot ignore the positive results of the collective effort of all of us. And throughout this time, my support for the institutional role of the President of the UN has been unquestionable and sincere, as the unity of the Olympic Movement demands! Today, in response to the will of a large group of Federations and Olympians, and with the ultimate responsibility of my decisions, I ask for the vote of their representatives, so that all together we can work on the further rise of Greek sport, leading our athletes and athletes to greater and more success and giving solutions requiring leadership and efficiency. For these reasons, I declare officially, with strength and determination, that I will be nominated for the position of President of the UN. In this effort I go with a message of unity and am ready to offer what is needed to achieve our goals. On this occasion, I would like to publicly express my gratitude to all the members of the UN and the Sports Federations for the support they have offered me over the years, each in their own way, in my course in the Olympic and sports movement of our Country.
