Despite Pentagon reports indicating that Iran has significantly reduced its attacks—and that large stockpiles of munitions, drones, and ballistic missiles have been destroyed—the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued fresh threats of “painful strikes” against the United States and Israel. The IRGC warned it is preparing to deploy new weapons not yet used in the current conflict.
‘Ready for a Protracted War’
An IRGC spokesperson stated that Iran is prepared for a prolonged war—even as former U.S. President Donald Trump suggested the defeat of Iran is arriving faster than anticipated. Both the U.S. and Israel have signaled that the conflict in the Middle East will not end quickly.
New Capabilities on the Horizon
Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Na’ini emphasized that “enemies of Iran should expect painful strikes in the upcoming new wave of operations.” Regarding advanced weaponry, he added: “Iran’s new initiatives and weapons systems are en route—these technologies have not yet been deployed at scale.”
Na’ini claimed Tehran is now better prepared than during last year’s 12-day conflict initiated by the U.S. and Israel, describing Iran’s response as a “sacred and legitimate war.”
Trump Offers Amnesty
Hours earlier, Donald Trump offered amnesty to members of the IRGC and Iran’s police force—if they lay down their arms. He urged them to join “the right side of history.”
