Iran’s IRGC Deploys 2,000-Km Ballistic Missiles

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has deployed the Khorramshahr-4 ballistic missile, with a range of 2,000 kilometers and a payload exceeding one ton of explosives, according to Iran’s Fars News Agency on February 5, 2026. Considered the most advanced ballistic missile in Iran’s arsenal, the Khorramshahr-4 is part of a broader military modernization effort. Reports indicate construction of a massive underground missile base at the IRGC’s Space Command headquarters. Tehran has revised its defense doctrine following last June’s 12-day conflict with Israel, adopting a more offensive posture. Iran reportedly possesses multiple missile types capable of striking Israel and U.S. bases across the Gulf region.
