Iran: Revolution Guards Revealed Second Underground Naval Base · Global Voices

A new underground naval base revealed its “ideological” army on Saturday (01.02.2025). It is recalled that two weeks ago a similar facility was first revealed. “Thousands of Cruz rockets, capable of dealing with the electronic war of enemy destroyers, have settled in this underground city,” said Iran’s state television for the new naval guard of the Islamic Republic Revolution. TRANSPARENCY TV images showed rocket launchers installed inside underground arcades, in a space not specified, but located in southern Iran. The leader of the Guards of the Revolution, General Josein Salami, and the naval commander of the Guards, Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, visited the facility. A Cruz rocket named Ghadr-380 was also presented. It has a range of 1,000 kilometres and equipment against electronic countermeasures, according to Tangsiri. CORVERSE This demonstration of power takes place after the US President Donald Trump took office on January 20th, who during his previous term (2017 – 2021) had implemented the so-called “maximum pressure” policy against Iran, an sworn enemy of the United States. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has unveiled a new underground “missile city” in southern Iran.
