Iran Notified the US Hours Before Launching Missiles at Al Udeid Base in Qatar

On Monday evening (June 23, 2025), it was revealed that Iran had informed the United States through two diplomatic channels several hours before launching two missile attacks against the Al Udeid base in Qatar. It was already known that Iran had warned Qatar of its intention to strike the base in Doha with missiles. According to Qatar, Tehran fired a total of 19 missiles, of which 11 were intercepted. However, these details suggest that Iran’s attack was ultimately ‘symbolic,’ conveying a message from Tehran that it does not wish to escalate the crisis but remains committed to retaliation. The 19 Iranian missiles activated Qatar’s air defense systems, with none hitting their targets and no casualties or damages reported.
