Iran Launches Attacks on Tel Aviv and Haifa – Israel Claims Full Control of Tehran’s Airspace

Meanwhile, an Israeli drone destroyed two Iranian F-14 fighter jets at an airbase near Tehran, according to IDF spokesperson Brigadier General Ephraim Dafner, who also released footage of the military operation. Another video shows an attack on an Iranian unit allegedly preparing drones against Israel. The Israeli army reported hitting ballistic missile launch platforms in western Iran. Iranian media claim the downing of an Israeli F-35 near Tabriz, which Israel denies. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran will continue targeting Israel until it stops attacking the Islamic Republic. Ambassador Amir Saeed Iravani emphasized that Iran’s actions are self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. In contrast, Israel’s UN ambassador Danny Danon accused Iran of mass attacks on civilians, highlighting significant civilian casualties. He reiterated that Israel targets only military installations, unlike Iran, which aims at population centers. Danon warned that Iran planned ethnic cleansing worse than October 7th and urged global sanctions against Iran. Despite the conflict, he expressed concern for the Iranian people, distinguishing them from their regime. The Israeli strategy focuses on dismantling Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile threat. Danon concluded by calling for immediate international action against Iran.
