Iran and Israel Ceasefire Lasted Only Four Hours: New Missile Attack from Tehran

The fragile ceasefire between Iran and Israel appears to have shattered as a new confrontation erupted in northern Israel, specifically in the city of Haifa, following the launch of Iranian ballistic missiles. According to Israeli media, around 10:30 AM Greek time, sirens were heard again in northern Israel. At least one ballistic missile seems to have been fired from Iran towards Israel shortly after the ceasefire was supposed to take effect. The missile was likely intercepted, with no reports of injuries so far. Twenty minutes later, the alert in Haifa ended. Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, ordered the military to respond immediately and decisively to Iran’s missile launches. ‘I have instructed the IDF to firmly respond to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire through strong strikes against regime targets at the heart of Tehran,’ Katz stated. Earlier, an announcement from Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed the temporary ceasefire but warned of a ‘vigorous’ response to any violations by Iran.
