exactly two years after the last major rowing event on lake Pamvotida, 2014. The preparations for the Championship have been almost completed by the Greek Rowing Federation and the Nautical Club of Ioannina, which is the host association of the games.
The rowing facilities of ΕΑÎΚΙ in ΛιμνοποÏλα with a focus on the Tower and the stands of the spectators are ready to welcome the next Thursday and the Sunday, July 24, missions to seafarers unions from all over Greece. The same applies to the wet track, Rowing the Lake, the repair of which has now been completed. It is estimated that the matches will be held the Weekend of 23 and 24 July, will take part more than 300 young rowers from 30 clubs of our country! For the conduct of the Championship important is the support provided by the National Athletic Association Women ‘KALLIPATEIRA” and the Municipality of Ioannina. A significant contribution of the Mayor Thomas ΜπÎγκα, who has put at the disposal of the To.The.I. all of the services and workshops of the Municipality that have been requested. In the co-organization of the games also involved actively in the Region of Epirus and the ΠΕΑΚΙ, while the supporters included the local branch of the AMBULANCE, the Annex of Ioannina, the Hellenic Red Cross, the Fire Continent, the Lyceum of Greek women and the Department of Swimming of PAS Giannina. Experts invited on the day of the final matches of the Championship will be the children of the “Ark of the World” Pogoniani, which will see the races from the stands of the ΕΑÎΚΙ but will also help as volunteers in the organization!
