The University of Ioannina is ranked in the one hundred and ninetieth eighth place (198) between European Universities and the 2nd place among the Greek Universities, after the
University of Crete according to the evaluation of the University of Leiden in the Netherlands.
This assessment is based on data of the publications of the international scientific blog “Web of Science”. It is worth noting, for example, that, at the level of the Departments, the Departments of Mathematics and Computer Engineering & Informatics ranked in 1st place among the Greek Universities.
The assessment Leiden 2015 assess the scientific performance of 750 major universities from around the world. Using a rigorous methodology with multiple βιβλιομετÏικοÏÏ‚ indicators, the assessment is intended to provide a valid estimate of the scientific impact of Universities worldwide.
