Ioanna Touni Speaks Out on Revenge Porn Case: ‘They Are Out There Laughing’

On Thursday morning (May 22, 2025), Ioanna Touni appeared in the Thessaloniki courts for the trial regarding her revenge porn case. However, shortly afterward, it was announced that the trial had been postponed again. Speaking about the revenge porn case as she entered the court, Touni stated: ‘It’s not enough for the victim to speak. Justice must also speak because these people are out there laughing. There must be justice for every victim. Hopefully, this is the moment when society becomes sensitized and understands the magnitude of this issue, the lives it has destroyed, and the suicides it has caused.’

Touni further mentioned that she had been informed that the opposing side would request another postponement but emphasized her readiness to proceed if possible. She expressed her hope that today, the distinction between revenge porn and adult content had become clear. When the incident occurred in 2020, there was little awareness, and she was pointed fingers at instead of being recognized as a victim.

She revealed that friends recently informed her about a fake profile circulating her videos and photos. Exhausted by continuously requesting the removal of these videos, Touni stressed that only justice could alleviate the situation since the stigma would never fully disappear.

Regarding the accused who claim innocence, she remarked, ‘It’s at least amusing that they say they’re innocent. The video was filmed by someone with me appearing alongside my then-partner. When the person seen in the video appears to be in cahoots with the accused, laughing and making gestures at the camera, it’s hard to believe it was filmed by a passerby. The video was shot with a flash from close range. Unfortunately, I am now certain it was premeditated. It’s disheartening that people you know can turn out to be so twisted and malicious.’

Touni became emotional, saying, ‘This keeps resurfacing. Many times, I prefer to pretend it doesn’t… You’ll make me cry, and I’ll enter the courtroom in tears.’ Touni initially filed charges against two men in 2020 after a personal video leaked online in 2017. The trial has been rescheduled for May 30.
