over the last two years, and wishing to strengthen its presence in Africa, as reported by the company.
“The establishment of INTRASOFT International EAST Africa Ltd following a number of high profile contracts and successful implementations like this one at NSSF Kenya (System Management Pensions, 2014) but also that through the project “KRA Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence” where the company works as a strategic subcontractor for the implementation and delivery of the “Risk Analysis Module” part of the ESKORT Compliance Application Suite,” stated the announcement.
The new instance takes place at the time of the Government of Kenya has set a target to make the country as a globally competitive digital economy. In accordance with the Main National Plan of Technology of Information and Communications of Kenya (2017), the Government aims to further promote digital opportunities, innovation and entrepreneurship in the country.
“The reputation of Kenya as a technological, commercial and development hub of Africa makes it strategically sound for the choice of this site as a regional seat of INTRASOFT. Our vision is to support the growth potential of Africa in the field of Information Technology and Communications and provide solutions to current and future challenges in the Public and Business Sector,” said Alexandros Manos, Managing director, INTRASOFT International.
The company also announced the official presentation of the system of banking solutions to PROFITS® in the market of East Africa. The PROFITS® is a comprehensive range of solutions that includes core banking, internet, mobile and agency banking, automation of loans, Business Intelligence and MIS. The PROFITS® is a new dimension in the management of financial institutions, which focuses on the dynamic evolution of operational efficiency, adhering to continuously changing regulatory requirements. The company has already developed two subsystems PROFITS® in the Housing Finance Bank (HF Group) in Kenya. To PROFITS® is also implemented today in Mwalimu Commercial Bank in Tanzania and the Centenary Rural Development Bank in Uganda and promises to change dynamically the operating conditions of the banking sector in the region.

Other important projects in the banking sector in Africa include Zambia Electronic Clearing House Limited (ZECHL), where Intrasoft International is implementing the National Payments Switch, and provides the infrastructure for the promotion of the interoperability of all payment systems through banks or other means.
