International Cycling Tour of Greece 2025: Traffic Restrictions on AHE and Schimatari-Chalkida Link

Traffic restrictions will be in place on the AHE highway and the Schimatari-Chalkida link due to the International Cycling Tour of Greece 2025, according to an announcement by New Road. Specifically, on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 15:15 to 16:15, a two-way closure of the exit ramps at the Uneven Junction (A/K) of Thebes will be enforced. Drivers will be serviced by previous junctions, specifically the A/K Ritsonas towards Lamia and the A/K Stratopedou or A/K Akraifnion towards Athens. Additionally, on Saturday, April 5, from 15:00 to 16:30, there will be closures on parts of the perpendicular road at the A/K Schimatari towards Lamia, the exit ramp of the Semi-Junction (H/K) Naupigion, and its perpendicular road towards Chalkida. Drivers will be directed to the previous or next junctions (Vatheos & Old Bridge). There will also be traffic diversions on the Schimatari-Chalkida link at the A/K Old Bridge (towards Chalkida) with traffic interruption from the 11th km to the 10.6th km towards Schimatari. Drivers will be serviced via the Old Bridge. New Road has taken all necessary measures for driver safety and information, with temporary signs placed accordingly.
