Inside Iran’s State TV Building After Israeli Attack – Rubble Everywhere

in

For the first time, Iran’s state television allowed international media access inside the damaged building following an Israeli attack. The moment of the Israeli strike caught Iranian presenter Sahar Emami live on air. Dust and debris filled the state TV building when Israel’s military aviation bombed the IRIB offices in Tehran on June 16. During the attack, Emami was broadcasting live and condemned Israel, gesturing aggressively. Following the explosion, she was forced to evacuate hurriedly from the studio, as cameras captured dust and smoke falling. Twenty-four hours later, on Thursday, June 19, Iranian authorities granted permission for international media to document the extent of the destruction. The footage reveals the entire structure transformed into a skeleton of shattered glass and debris both inside and outside. Workers clearing the wreckage reported two strikes, one on each side. Most staff had evacuated after Israel announced impending strikes in that area of Tehran, but some remained. A reporter was killed in the newsroom, bringing the total casualty count, according to Iranian officials, to three state TV employees.
