In NSRF the installation of seven 7MW photovoltaic systems in Kozani

The NSRF “Right Development Transition 2021-2027” includes the installation and operation of seven systems of total power 7MW, with the beneficiary of the Municipality Energy Community, signed by the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis. The total cost of the project is 6,764. EUR 158,91 and the public expenditure co-financed is EUR 5,411. EUR 327,13. The purpose of this action is to meet the energy needs of electricity, at a rate of 100% of the members of the Energy Community of the Municipality of Kozani, through a system of photovoltaics that allows operators with multiple units or buildings to share energy production from a common energy resource (virtual energy netting/virtual net-metering), in this respect solar energy, so that they can cope with the increased costs of the current climate due to extra-generational developments. In particular, 7 photovoltaic systems of a total capacity of 7MW are planned to produce green energy, which will cover the energy needs of public buildings or installations of the Municipality of Kozani (e.g. municipal and school buildings, sports facilities, etc.). In addition, necessary studies and services have been provided for both during the preparation phase and for the implementation phase of the project, as well as the costs of connection to the network. It is the first Energy Community project funded under the NSRF 2021-2027 and it is assumed that the resources saved from reducing energy costs for the Municipality of Kozani can be used for the benefit of the local community more widely. It is noted that the Energy Community of the Municipality of Kozani has as partners: The Municipality of Kozani, the Municipal Water and Drainage Company and the Municipality’s Sports, Culture and Youth Organization, the Anonymous Society for the Management of Wastes of the Region of Western Macedonia, the Koventario Municipal Library of Kozani and the Anonymous Society for the Management- Management of Kozani Biotechnical Park.
