He started his two-day visit to Greece, first stationed in New Philadelphia. The official reception of the Ecumenical Patriarch took place at the Holy Cathedral of Sleep of the Virgin New Philadelphria, shortly after six o’clock in the afternoon. Immediately afterwards, Mr Bartholomew went to the square where the ceremony of naming the square and the unveiling of the anathema plaque took place. The Ecumenical Patriarch then visited the Holy Trinity Church of New Philadelphia, for the Follow-up of the Springs of the new Temple in the name of Archangel Michael, in memory of the murdered AEK fan, Michael Katsouris, who is located in the courtyard of the Holy Temple.
