in the Greek Parliament the question about the threat of degradation of services provided to the citizens of fire services due to the anticipated disposal of a sufficient number of fire fighting staff in the concession to the company Fraport airports for the purpose of providing rescue and firefighting services. With the question, the text of which follows, develops the reflection on those issues, while requested official information from the Government about the content of the relevant agreements, the financial consideration to be received by the Greek Public, but also for the solutions that will promote the responsible Ministry in order to resolve the issue of staffing of the fire services and the problems created by the extraordinary movements of fire-fighting personnel.

Dear Minister,
As you know, with the New. 4389/2016 (government GAZETTE A’ 94/27-5-2016) ratified the in – between the Greek State and the company Fraport – concession contracts for the upgrade, maintenance, management and operation of Regional Airports in Crete, the Greek Mainland and Ionian sea and of the Regional Airports of the Aegean. Among the obligations undertaken by the Greek Government to the concessionaire company is the provision of support in terms of rescue and firefighting services of the airport, employing for that purpose the Fire brigade. As, however, it is understood, to meet the latter in the above mentioned obligation is required to be placed in direct time great power of the Body to the airports, with the result that naked the fire services and local fire teams, which, certainly, will create huge problems in the smooth functioning of the local Fire Services.
In view of the above, and taking into account the assigned obligation of the Greek State on one issue and the safety of airports, the specification that these must have been but and of the quality hereinafter provided fire services to the Greek Citizens, will the Minister:
1. What is the up to today’s evolution on this issue? And, in particular, has come to the Greek State with the agreement of the concessionaire and, if so, what’s the content? If not, why there is this delay?
2. There will be a financial consideration (compensation) for the services it will provide to the Fire department and what is the height of this?
3. How does your Ministry to fill the gaps that will arise in the local fire departments from the disposal of fire-fighting personnel at airports and on this side, how will you ensure the quality of the provided firefighting services to the society?
4. It is the intention of the Ministry to proceed with the establishment of the first private firefighters five-year requirement so as to directly cover the needs that will be created by the staffing of airports?
