Violent winds accompanied by heavy rain caused significant disruption in Igoumenitsa, a port town in northwestern Greece. A large metal panel was torn loose and crashed onto parked cars on Dagkli Street. The incident resulted in serious damage to several vehicles, though — according to the news site thespro.gr — no injuries were reported.

Fire service personnel responded promptly to the scene to remove the panel and mitigate risks to pedestrians and drivers.

Similar weather-related issues were recorded on the 49 Martyres Avenue, also in Igoumenitsa, where a tree was uprooted and fell onto the road. Fortunately, no driver was injured, and no material damage was reported despite the hazard posed by the fallen tree.

Authorities are urging drivers and pedestrians to exercise heightened caution, as intense weather conditions may continue to trigger further incidents — including falling trees, branches, or loose objects.
