Hyundai Bayon 1.0T – 100PS – Test: Gives more than shows

Korean has such a range of models that satisfy the average and superior driving, but also economically, buyer candidate. And that’s because in every body category we’ll find a representative, with conventional motors, gasoline or hybrids, even plug-in hybrid and pure electric in the larger body bodies. CORVERSE Bayon, with a Basque name, when introduced to the market in 2021, saw that it took something from i20, like the floor and the dashboard and something from Kona, design. Hyundai engineers did not have to discover the wheel to create a B-SUV. They took the familiar platform of i20 , lifted the body by 16.5 cm from the ground to become SUV, went the length to 4.18m. and changed the wrapper, using touches from Kona . The renewed version I drove is particularly tasteful, with the black color external to mask, lighting, perimeter protective, lower mirror section, rear door, roof rails and rims, being pleasantly contrasted with its white body. CORVERSE The very thin day lights, LED DRL (Daytime Running Lights) create a bright Seamless Horizon signature, high on the hood, and this belongs to the highlight of the appearance, as well as cutting the back door with the glass section as well as the arrow-shaped rear lights. The slightly driven cabin is monochrome, without color contrasts, which I would like. These are delicious, but many like the dark color. The well-designed steering wheel, the aluminum pedals, the 10.25 inch digital instrument panel, and the 10.25 inch digital touch screen, in the upper version of our test equipment (Distinctive), the connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the two USB ports- C – one front and one back and the USB-A port, for those with older smartphone technology, along with the ability to adjust the interior lighting depending on your mood, create a very pleasant cabin. We will also find natural switches for air conditioning, as well as a switch for Drive Mode, through which you can choose two driving profiles, Normal and Sport, with customization of engine characteristics. Several storage spaces and 411 liters of volume in the trunk serve an average family, while the 2.58 m of the wheelbase leave space even for a fifth adult passenger. All good people fit… The motor of the test version is known and tested, a thousand petrol that delivers 100 horsepower. It is lively and combined with a 6 relationship mechanical box and designed so that fuel consumption does not escape over 6.5 litres at 100 km. In fact, if you forget and are slow to change the gear in the box, an indication on your instrument panel reminds you of what you have to do to drive financially. Otherwise if you want to be in… red, then consumption increases. I moved with the Normal profile on the highway and was tempted for Sport in the mountain sections I go to, to move faster and I liked that choice. I got out of the asphalt, I mean, I stepped on dirt and Bayon did a great job with a suspension that absorbs the vibrations on a high level. Hyundai did not discount on driver security and support issues , putting the Lane Following Assist to keep the vehicle in the center of its lane, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist who first emits an alarm and, if necessary, activates the brakes to prevent collision, Smart Cruise Control using data from the vehicle’s navigation system and adapts speed autonomously to a highway or expressway, the collision avoidance aid system at a blind point and much more. In conclusion, in its renewed version, Bayon is an affordable little one that gives much more.
