Huthi rebels took responsibility for two missile attacks against Israel

Yemeni rebels, supported by Iran, today (31.12.2024) took responsibility for two attacks on Israel, where the army said it intercepted one who had been launched from that country before entering Israeli territory. The Huthi launched two missiles, the first targeting Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv and the second targeting energy station south of Jerusalem, as their military spokesman Yahia Sharia said. CORVERSE The Israeli army said last night that a Yemeni missile had been intercepted by the air force before it penetrated its territory, while air raid sirens sounded in the central part of the country. The Huthi have launched many rocket and drone attacks against Israel since the start of the Gaza Strip war, triggered on October 7, 2023 by the unprecedented attack of the Islamist Palestinian organization Hamas in southern Israel, stating that they act in solidarity with the Palestinians. The Huthi have also targeted the ships associated with Israel, the US or the United Kingdom and sailing in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The Huthi spokesman also spoke today of an operation against USS carrier Harry S. Truman. The U.S. Army did not immediately make a comment.
