Hungary: Dangerous to Let Ukraine Hit Russia With NATO Weapons · Global Voices

Hungary is opposed to using NATO long-range weapons to hit it. As Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto stressed, it is “extremely dangerous” to allow Ukraine to launch long-range blows in Russia using weapons from NATO Member States. President Joe Biden’s US government gave the green light to Kiev to use weapons provided by the US to hit deep on Russian territory. It is noted that Hungary, under the Prime Minister of Victor Orban, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, is one of the few European leaders to maintain relations with Russia. He has even been a strong critic of European sanctions against Moscow and the economic and military support of the bloc towards Kiev.
