Houthi Rebels Threaten US: If You Attack Iran, We’ll Target Your Ships in the Red Sea

The Houthis of Yemen have issued a statement openly warning the U.S. should it participate in an Israeli attack on Iran’s military and nuclear targets. “If the U.S. gets involved in any aggression against Iran alongside Israel, our armed forces will target their ships and naval vessels in the Red Sea,” stated the military representative of the Houthis, who are backed by Iran. Specifically, Yemen’s Houthi representative Yahya Sari confirmed that Yemen would place all American naval and commercial ships in the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab at risk if the U.S. initiates a war with Iran. Any U.S. support for Israeli aggression aimed at controlling the region is viewed as an unacceptable threat to freedom, independence, and national dignity, leading to potential occupation and exploitation.
