Countdown begins for the transportation of the Holy Light by flights from Athens to various regions of Greece on the afternoon of Great Saturday (April 19, 2025). Once again, the Holy Light will travel with scheduled and special emergency flights by Aegean Airlines and Olympic Air to all major cities after arriving at the ‘Eleftherios Venizelos’ airport. The arrival of the Holy Light is expected from Jerusalem, under the care of the Greek government, and it will then be transported via planned and special emergency flights to eight destinations within Greece.
