Scenes reminiscent of an action movie unfolded Thursday afternoon in central Athens, where a high-speed chase involving a vehicle with two occupants was pursued by police. The incident occurred at 7:20 PM near the intersection of Ioulianou and Aristotelous streets in Agios Panteleimonas when officers signaled for a traffic stop. The driver refused to comply, prompting police to initiate the pursuit. Shortly after, the vehicle collided with two parked cars, immobilizing it. Greek authorities arrested a 33-year-old Greek national and a 38-year-old foreigner. Both are facing charges related to narcotics after reportedly discarding two bags containing 65.8 grams of cannabis during the chase.
