Heraklion Thriller: Student Claims She Gave Birth to a Stillborn Baby in the Toilet

Authorities are faced with another unbelievable case concerning the death of a newborn, born to a student in her home toilet. According to reports, the incident involves a 20-year-old student from another island region who resides and studies at a private school in Heraklion. She claimed from the start that she was unaware of being pregnant. Reports indicate that the young woman gave birth in the toilet and stated that the baby was stillborn. The 20-year-old was at home with her sister when she felt intense abdominal pain and realized something was coming out of her. Despite her sister’s insistence, she initially refused to call for help. Eventually, her sister called the EKAB (Emergency Medical Services). This shocking story unfolded last week, coinciding with another case where a woman threw her newborn into the trash, only for it to survive thanks to the persistence of an EKAB rescuer who found the baby in a garbage bag. Currently, the investigation led by the Heraklion Security Directorate has been completed, and documentation has been submitted to the prosecuting authority, awaiting further developments in the case.
