Heraklion: One Arrested for Firing 20 Shots in Mesara

One person was arrested in Heraklion, Crete, after fireworks were reported in the area of Mesara. Police collected 20 spent cartridges from the yard of a house where the shots were fired. According to reports from cretapost.gr, the incident occurred on the evening of July 3rd when residents were startled by loud noises. It was later confirmed that the gunfire came from a house where a party was taking place. The alarmed residents notified authorities, prompting police to investigate. Officers recovered 20 shell casings and proceeded with the arrest of the 52-year-old homeowner, who was also the organizer of the event. He is expected to appear before the relevant prosecutor, as an investigation has been opened against him.
