A chilling video has surfaced showing a serious crash that occurred on Sunday morning, 12 July 2026, in Heraklion, Crete. A visibly intoxicated tourist lost control of his black Jeep while driving along the road from Hersonissos toward Heraklion. According to creta24.gr, the vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a tree, and then collided with several parked cars before flipping mid-air and landing upside down in the middle of the street.
Severe Damage and Narrow Escape
The impact was so violent that the Jeep overturned and came to rest blocking the road. At least three parked vehicles sustained serious damage. Footage published by neakriti.gr captures the vehicle’s erratic, high-speed trajectory moments before the crash.
Emergency Response and Miraculous Survival
Emergency responders from EKAB (National Centre for Emergency Care) rushed to the scene. Remarkably, one person who had been inside one of the parked cars escaped unharmed — described by local reports as nothing short of a miracle.
