The 47-year-old Serb, who lured and injured two women (mother and daughter) to Malia to the prison, has been taken to the prison. The 47-year-old was currently tried in Autophorus One-Member Defect Court in Heraklion for the conduct of the two women for which he was prosecuted to a degree of misdemeanor, but also for the fact that he was driving under the influence of alcohol and without a diploma. The sentence imposed on him is seven years and three months. The Czech 25-year-old who was lured along with her mother by the car the 47-year-old said she was walking with her mother on the road and heading towards the bus stop when suddenly the car appeared in front of them and headed towards them. She then heard a loud bang and when she recovered she was on the asphalt with her mother next to her, yelling and begging for help. The 25-year-old’s mother is still in hospital, where she was undergoing surgery, while they were due to leave the island last Saturday, however, they remain on the island because of her hospitalization. It is recalled that a few days before the drift of the two women, the 47 – year – old had lured an elderly man into the hospital where he was being treated. According to Creta24, common evidence in both cases is that the 47-year-old drove under the influence of drunkenness. The first car he caused occurred on September 3 in the area of Sitia, when he lured an elderly man, who succumbed to his severe injuries two days later to the hospital. The victim was an 85-year-old. The trial of this case will take place to a second degree Ten days later, Friday, September 13, again under the influence of alcohol, lured two women aged 47 and 25 into the area of antiquities in Malia. The two women were related. The 47-year-old’s reaction to the first accident is interesting. According to police information, the Serb, who has a German identity and works in Heraklion, visited a friend in Sitia, where they consumed alcohol before starting his return trip. Although he caused the 85-year-old’s serious injury, he stopped at the spot and did not leave, even though he could have done it. The elderly injured went off the road, making it difficult to locate him. The 47-year-old called EKAB and waited at the scene, showing the rescuers where the victim was headed. If he hadn’t remained, finding the elderly would have been difficult, as would the perpetrator. After the victim was found, the 47-year-old surrendered to the police, while the elderly two days later left life. Despite this tragic event, the 47 – year – old repeated the same mistake. Despite his driving having cost him a life, he drank and drove again, causing this time the injury of the two women. One wonders how he managed to rent a car again, since the police had removed his license. The 47-year-old reportedly presented a photocopy of his diploma at the car rental office, from which he had also taken the vehicle in which he lured the elderly, but without informing the owner of the business of the tragic incident. The police located this office and fined him 1000 euros.
