A disturbing case of domestic violence has shocked Heraklion, Crete, where a 65-year-old man physically assaulted his 28-year-old partner during a live TikTok broadcast. According to flashnews.gr, this was not the first time the man — who resides in the Malevizi municipality near Heraklion — had attacked her.
TikTok Live Exposes Abuse
The incident came to light when a TikTok user saw footage of the man violently hitting the woman and immediately contacted Greece’s emergency number, 112. Police responded swiftly, arriving at the residence and arresting the suspect.
Notably, the assault occurred in front of the man’s 16-year-old daughter. Although the 28-year-old victim declined to press criminal charges, authorities acted ex officio and proceeded with the arrest on charges of domestic violence.
This is not the first time the man has drawn police attention for domestic abuse. Adding a layer of concern, the victim is reported to possess a panic button — a safety device often issued to individuals at high risk of recurrent violence.
