Helleniq Energy announced today (2.7.2025) the acquisition of ABO Energy Hellas and six related companies through its subsidiary, HELLENiQ Renewables. The purchase agreement involves acquiring 100% of the share capital of the Greek subsidiary of the German group ABO ENERGY GmbH & Co. KGaA. The acquisition includes a portfolio of 22 renewable energy projects under development, with a total capacity of 1.5 GW, covering all RES technologies, as well as a dedicated project development and construction platform. The portfolio features 340 MW of PV projects in Priority B category and 550 MW of energy storage (BESS) projects eligible for priority grid connection procedures. With this new investment, HELLENiQ ENERGY expands its total RES project pipeline to over 6 GW, accelerating progress toward its strategic goal of at least 2 GW of installed capacity by 2030. This deal marks another step forward in HELLENiQ ENERGY’s strategic plan for the energy transition, reinforcing its role as a leading integrated energy provider in Southeastern Europe.
