Hellenic Train suspended rail services on the Ano Liosia–Aspropyrgos section at 12:10 p.m. today (04.07.2026) following a fire incident. Simultaneously, power supply issues have been reported between Ano Liosia and Loutrópyrgos.
Trains Stalled at Stations
According to Hellenic Train, the train operating service 1312 (Piraeus–Kiato) remains stationed at Ano Liosia Station, while the train for service 1313 (Kiato–Piraeus) is currently held at Nea Peramos Station.
Delays and Possible Schedule Adjustments
Passengers using the Athens Suburban Railway (Proastiakos) should expect delays and potential timetable changes across the network. Hellenic Train is in continuous coordination with OSE – Greek Railways Infrastructure Manager and relevant authorities to restore normal operations as soon as possible.
