Heavy Traffic on Kifissos and Attiki Odos: Major Delays Reported

Traffic is significantly heavy across Attica this Friday afternoon (04.07.2025), with the worst delays reported on the Kifissos Avenue heading towards Lamia and along the Attiki Odos motorway. Specifically, major congestion is building up on the uphill section of Kifissos from Poseidonos Avenue to Nea Filadelfeia. Additionally, delays exceeding 30 minutes are recorded on the Attiki Odos heading towards Elefsina, from the Kantsa junction to the Metamorfosis junction, while delays of around 15–20 minutes are noted towards the Airport, from Metamorfosis to Penteli interchange. Drivers are also moving at reduced speeds on Kifissias Avenue uphill, from Psychiko to Marousi. Dense traffic conditions persist in central Athens as well, particularly along Vasilissis Sofias Avenue towards Syntagma Square. Motorists are advised to plan accordingly and consider alternative routes where possible.
