The countdown for the second installment of the heating allowance has begun. According to the Ministry of Finance, payments to recipients are expected to be made on Friday, May 30, 2025. The second installment covers fuel purchases made between October 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025. To receive it, the following steps must be completed: issuing invoices by April 15, 2025, and registering details by April 30, 2025. For natural gas consumption, payment will occur no later than July 30, 2025, with invoices issued by June 30, 2025, and data registered by July 15, 2025. The allowance ranges from €100 to €800, with a maximum of €1,200 for areas with very low temperatures. Regions like Elati, Papigko, and Kozani, where the climate factor is greater than or equal to one unit, qualify for an increased allowance of up to €1,000. The amount is calculated based on various factors, including the type of fuel and specific heating needs of each area. Key coefficients for 2024–2025 include: electricity (€380), biomass (€360), district heating/wood (€350), natural gas (€325), and heating oil/propane (€300). Additionally, the allowance increases by 20% for each dependent child.
