Affordable housing, energy costs, and inflation are the three major issues for 2025, highlighted by the President of the Athens Chamber of Professions (ACA), Giannis Hatzitheodossiou, in an interview today (March 20, 2025) on OPEN. Regarding energy costs, Mr. Hatzitheodossiou pointed out that there has been a 50% increase in electricity prices over the past three years, with no significant reduction expected in the coming years. He also mentioned that businesses are still awaiting subsidies, as there is currently no official information, only rumors about a subsidy of around 1.5 cents per kilowatt-hour without specifying which businesses will be covered. On the issue of inflation, the ACA president noted that while the pace of inflation might slow down, prices remain at very high levels with no immediate signs of decline.
