Haris Kastanidis: Nikos Androulakis Must Resign if PASOK Fails in Upcoming Elections

Former PASOK minister and member of the party’s Political Council, Haris Kastanidis, launched a fierce attack on Nikos Androulakis regarding the declining poll numbers of PASOK. Speaking on Athens 9.84 radio, Kastanidis criticized Androulakis’ leadership and strategy, suggesting that he should step down if PASOK does not secure victory in the next elections. ‘Clearly, something is not right with the strategic planning and programmatic framework,’ Kastanidis remarked. He emphasized the need for PASOK to reposition itself as a viable alternative for governing the country, placing responsibility squarely on Androulakis. ‘If you believe you can leap from 11.5% to 38%, but it’s not happening, then PASOK has two paths. One is isolation, which Androulakis seems to favor, or seeking progressive alliances. If he fails, resignation must be considered seriously,’ Kastanidis concluded.
